Is the "Ritual Head Spa" connected to any specific religion?+
No, our services have absolutely no religious affiliation. While inspired by ancient Japanese concepts of mindfulness and cleansing, it is a purely wellness-focused experience. We warmly welcome guests of all faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds from around the world.
150 minutes seems longer than a standard head spa. What does the session include?+
Our 150-minute session is designed as a holistic ritual, not just a hair treatment. It includes a personalized consultation over seasonal Japanese tea, a modern purification ceremony (sound bath and incense), a deep-meditation head spa (70 mins), a period of quiet reflection, and professional hair blow-drying. It is a half-day retreat to fully reset your mind and body.
Do I need to prepare anything before my visit? What about my makeup and clothing?+
No special preparation is needed. We provide comfortable spa wear for your treatment. Please note that during the head spa, the area around your face may get slightly wet, and your eye makeup may smudge. We have a fully equipped vanity area with premium hair dryers where you can completely dry your hair and reapply your makeup after the session.
I don't speak Japanese. Will I be able to communicate smoothly during the consultation?+
Yes, absolutely. We use translation apps to ensure smooth and clear communication with our international guests. We have been operating our dedicated head spa salons since 2006 and have welcomed many guests from all over the world, so please feel confident that you are in experienced hands.
I have hair extensions. Can I still receive the treatment?+
We sincerely apologize, but we are unable to provide treatments for guests with hair extensions, dreadlocks, or tight afro-textured hair. Due to the delicate nature of our deep-tissue scalp massage and purification rituals, we cannot guarantee the safety or the intended results of the experience for these hair types.
